This section explains new features and modifications employed on each version of EDIUS.
H.265/HEVC (MP4) output using the Quick Sync Video (MP4 Format)
Supported editing using AVC proxy clips recorded to external media with XAVC devices (Editing Using Camera Proxy Files)
Changed conventional [Vector Scope/Waveform] to [Videoscope] that supports HDR editing (Checking Color)
Added [Color Space] to [Application] in [System Settings] ([Color Space])
It sets show/hide or sorting order of color space displayed on the [Primary Color Correction] or other dialog boxes.
Added [Monitor Control] to [Hardware] in [System Settings] ([Monitor Control])
It links the color mode of the monitor connected with the PC where EDIUS is installed to the setting of [Color Space] in [Project Settings].
Quality settings for [Optical flow] added to [Field Option] of [Time Effect] which adjusts clip playback speed ([Field Option] Dialog Box)
In addition to [High Speed] that is equivalent to the analysis method on version 9.2 and earlier, setting items such as [Custom] are added, in which [Advanced Matching] or [Accuracy] can be set separately.
Supported [Color] setting of clip markers and sequence markers
Clip markers and sequence markers can be set to [Red], [Yellow], [Blue], [Pink], and [Purple], besides the conventional option [Orange].
XML export/import of clip maker list and sequence marker list supported
In addition to the conventional CSV format, export and import of XML format files are now available. XML format also supports exporting/importing of [Color] information.
The number of registered [Current default] changed to 4, which can be selected when files are exported or batch exported (Registering Exporter Configuration as Default Exporter)
The [Current default] setting registered on version 9.2 and earlier is succeeded by [1] of [Current default].
Closed caption display supported (Showing/Hiding Closed Caption)
High-speed decoding of RED source by using GPU supported ([RED])
Timecode display for 60p/50p supported
Timecode for 60p/50p can be displayed on Player, Recorder, and time scale of timeline. Files can also be exported with display of the timecode for 60p/50p.
Cinema RAW 5.9K for Canon EOS C700 FF (5952x3140 and 5952x2532) supported
Exporters added
[XAVC MXF] (codec: XAVC) has been added to the [MXF] category.
For [AVCUltra MXF] in the [MXF] category, export to AVC-Intra 4K/2K 422 has been supported.
Added audio sampling rates that support import of H.264 files
Supported downconversion of high resolution video such as 4K or 8K to output to external devices such as a monitor (Setting Preview Devices)
The output videos can be converted into a format compatible with the preview device.
Added a function to show an icon on the status bar of the timeline that indicates the conversion status of the output video (Checking Conversion Status of Output Video)

Items [HDR/SDR gain] and [Tone mapping] have been added to the project settings and the settings in the [Primary Color Correction] dialog box.
Added a software decoder for H.265
Even when Quick Sync Video is not available, H.265 clips can be played back using this software decoder.
Improved multicam editing functions, such as newly added audio sync function (Audio Sync)
The audio sync function analyzes audio data such as videos clip and audio clip, and automatically determines an optimal sync point to synchronize them. Setting clip markers on each clip can limit the range of analysis and significantly shorten the time for analysis.

Supported export of ProRes 4444 format files with alpha channel
