Top Layer Effect

The Top Layer Effect feature allows you to add an effect to any of 6 layers to a program. You can add or remove each effect layer by layer. You need to load a clip into a shotbox to access the Layer properties screen.

  1. Load the shotbox.
  2. From the shotbox, double tap on the thumbnail of the clip or still. The radial menu displays:

  3. Select Clip Properties. The Layers screen displays:

You can assign the clip or still to the background or one of six layers. If you make the clip or still a background, it will replace the existing background.

  4. Tap and hold the Top Layer slider to the layer to which you want to add the effect. Note that layer number 1 is closest to the person icon and BG is the background. You may add 6 layers of effects and you may assign an effect to the background. Note: The default Top Layer Transition is cut, but your selection will persist with the clip (but not the shotbox).

IMPORTANT:Do not use this feature with Compound Effects.
