Create EDIUS project and shared folder

You must create a location for your EDIUS projects.

You must have a shared folder that both the EDIUS XS PC and the EDIUS XRE Server can access. Files like audio clips and still images can be located in this shared folder.

On the K2 media file system (the V:\ drive), create a new project folder.
Name the folder with a meaningful name. For example create the following folder:
V:\EDIUS_Projects
To create a shared folder, name the folder with a meaningful name. For example create the following folder:
V:\EDIUS_Projects\Shared items
Make sure the folder is shared with permission granted so that your GV STRATUS/EDIUS XS client PCs, EDIUS XRE Servers, and EDIUS Elite client PCs can access the folder. On the EDIUS XRE Server, the internal system account, which by default is GVAdmin, accesses the folder.
