Transforming Live Production Workflows with GV STRATUS Nonlinear Production Tools & K2 Media Servers and Storage at Sky Racing Application Note —by Carl Petch, Chief Engineer, Sky Racing, (GVB-1-0125B-EN-AN) File size: 2.6 MB, posted Mar 05 2019
GV STRATUS application framework is the ideal foundation for this type of production. Combining a Grass Valley K2 media server and storage infrastructure with GV STRATUS nonlinear production tools, and an open ecosystem for integration with third-party systems provides a proven and efficient framework for a new generation of digital workflows. This application note describes how the GV STRATUS concept was applied in news/live production workflows, including content-specific news production.

Transferring Media Between K2 Summit 3G Media Server Systems with the K2 Dyno S Replay Controller in Live Replay Environments Application Note —by Fred van Galen, Pre-Sales Engineer EMEA Central and Eurasia Regions & Olaf Bahr, Product Manager, (GVB-1-0093B-EN-AN) File size: 4.2 MB, posted Mar 05 2019
During live productions, there is often the need to quickly and easily share media. To facilitate this, there are setup procedures that need to be followed with K2 Summit 3G media servers in combination with K2 Dyno S Replay Controllers from Grass Valley, a Belden Brand.
Utilizing the EDIUS NLE Directly on the K2 Dyno Replay Controller Application Note —by Olaf Bahr, Product Manager, (GVB-1-0092B-EN-AN) File size: 1.2 MB, posted Mar 05 2019
Grass Valley K2 Summit 3G media servers offer a quick and simple method of combining clips into a playlist for sequential play. However, if complex video or audio editing is required, the Grass Valley EDIUS multiformat editing application can easily be launched on the K2 Dyno Replay Controller and full editing capabilities are at the operator's fingertips. Clips and playlists — as well as recordings in progress — can be accessed directly from the K2 Summit as assets in the EDIUS browser. Rendered timelines can be published back into folders that the K2 Dyno can call to air on a K2 Summit channel.
Enabling and Using ShareFlex Between Network Connected K2 Summit 3G Servers with K2 Dyno Replay Controllers Application Note —by Olaf Bahr, Product Manager, (GVB-1-0084B-EN-AN) File size: 2.6 MB, posted Mar 05 2019
ShareFlex is the application software, when using K2 Dyno Replay Systems with the K2 Dyno S Replay Controller (K2 Dyno S Replay Systems), to share the content of stand-alone K2 Summit 3G media servers, over a Gigabit Ethernet connection, without the need to transfer the content first. This allows a K2 Dyno Replay System with control of local K2 Summit 3G playback channels to cue remote clips, playlists, and record trains of another K2 Summit 3G without the need to use the remote channels to do so.
