Installation Manual
Set up effect plug-ins.
Make the settings for using After Effects plug-ins on EDIUS.
[Add]

Specify the folder containing the After Effects plug-in to add to [After Effects Plug-in Search Folder]. Restart EDIUS after registering the folder. |

You can continue to set other items by clicking [Apply].
Save the After Effects plug-in (After Effects DLL files) in a folder on your PC.
The folder is registered, and is displayed at [After Effects Plug-in Search Folder].
The After Effects folder is registered to [VideoFilters] on the [Effect] palette.
You can select After Effects plug-ins from the After Effects folder.
When new DLL files for After Effects have been added to the folder registered in step 2, you do not need to register the folder again.
To delete the After Effects folder, select the folder from [After Effects Plug-in Search Folder] in step 2 and click [Delete].
Only supports 64-bit After Effects plug-ins. If you upgrade from a previous version of EDIUS, you should add 64-bit After Effects plug-ins.

Make settings for GPUfx.
[Multisample]

Set antialiasing (processing to make jaggies less conspicuous) when GPUfx is applied. [Multisample Type]
Select an available multisample type. [Quality Level]
Set the quality level of the type selected at [Multisample Type]. Selectable items differ according to the type of GPU. |
[Render Quality]
|
Set the image quality at editing of parts where GPUfx is applied. When [Full Quality] is selected, GPU is used and displayed at its maximum. When [Draft Quality] is selected, the load at editing can be reduced though this results in lower quality. |
GPU performance

Displays the GPU of your PC. |
GPUfx cannot be used if video memory on your PC is smaller than 256 MB. The [GPU] folder also will not be displayed on the [Effect] palette.
Editing is possible at HD size even in environments where only the SD size can be used. In this case, GPUfx transition becomes offline display.
You can continue to set other items by clicking [Apply].
To use GPUfx transition, the following conditions are required:
Display capability of 1024×768 pixels and 32 bits or more
Direct3D 9.0c or later
PixelShader3.0 or higher

Make the settings for using VST plug-in bridge on EDIUS.
[Add]

Specify the folder containing the VST plug-in to add to [Add VST Plug-ins]. Restart EDIUS after registering the folder. |

Save the VST plug-in (DLL files for VST) in a folder on your PC.
The folder is registered, and is displayed at [Add VST Plug-ins].
The VST folder is registered to [AudioFilters] on the [Effect] palette.
You can select VST plug-ins from the VST folder.
When new DLL files for VST have been added to the folder registered in step 2, you do not need to register the folder again.
Directly copy DLL files for VST to the “EDIUS 7” → “PlugIn” → “VST” folder on the hard disk where EDIUS is installed.
*Normally, the “EDIUS 7” folder is located in “C drive” → “Program Files” → “Grass Valley”.
To delete a VST folder, select the folder from [Add VST Plug-ins] in step 2 and click [Delete].
