Using Devices

If you use EDIUS with other devices in such cases as capturing from a video camera or output using input/output hardware, editing environments must be set up before you start editing.

Using Camera or VTR for Capturing or Recording

To set up the environment to use EDIUS with other devices for capturing from a camera or exporting to tape, the devices to be used with EDIUS must be registered. See the Hardware Setting Guide for more details.

Perform Capturing or Monitor Output using Hardware

You can perform capturing or monitor output using video input/output hardware devices manufactured by Grass Valley or other manufacturers. In EDIUS, you can output the video being edited to a monitor in full frame and full resolution in real time, which enables easy previewing for adjustment of colors or timing for cuts.

Some hardware products may require settings on EDIUS or its application, to be recognized by EDIUS. For details, visit the Grass Valley website or the instruction manual attached to your product.
