Program Preview Mode

Program Preview mode for Program to Stage mimics a traditional switcher. This is a feature that allows Grass Valley Director to behave like a traditional switcher. You can turn this mode on, and when you transition something from Stage to Program, what was on the Program automatically goes to the Stage.

1. From the top level Configuration menu, click Enable Program Preview Mode. Once you have pressed it, the mode is then enabled. (When the button is labeled Disable Program Preview Mode, it means that the feature is currently enabled.)

   

2. Load the Stage with transitions, live inputs, elements, etc. Place whatever elemets you want on the Stage.
3. From the Stage, put in an input.
4. Select the red Take button.
5. Move the lever bar for the transition. At the end of the transition, the source that was in the program side of the switcher is now automatically loaded into the stage.
