Administrator Privileges

Users that are configured with an Authorization Level of Admin will have the ability to access, add, and re-configure:

Users

A user account with some level of permission to access GV GUARDIAN.

Hosts

A physical server, workstation, device, etc. that resides on your network.

Services

A service that runs on a host. The term "service" is used very loosely. It can mean an actual service that runs on the host (POP, SMTP, HTTP, etc.) or some other type of metric associated with the host (response to a ping, number of logged in users, free disk space, etc.).

Components

Optional extensions to GV GUARDIAN that can be installed by administrators to provide enhanced functionality to both end-users and administrators alike.

Configuration Wizards

A user-friendly means of monitoring new devices, services, and applications.

Dashlets

Visual elements that can be added to GV GUARDIAN dashboards and customized on a per-user basis.

Program Settings

Settings for notifications and other GV GUARDIAN parameters.

Security Credentials

Permission levels assigned to users.
