DE4577

ncb00076634

Description: Copying assets back and forth between the same locations on different K2 storage systems results in unexpected behavior. Automatic rename and overwrite features do not produce the expected asset names and associations.

This can occur when using a high-resolution workflow to create subclips, such as on high-resolution GV STRATUS client, editor, or a K2 Dyno Reply Controller, and the parent clip has no proxy association.
Workaround: Make sure the high-resolution parent clip has a proxy association by using a clip recorded on a K2 Summit channel that immediately creates proxy files, or by waiting until a GV STRATUS Proxy Encoder generates proxy files for the high-resolution parent clip.
DE5394

ncb00076829

Description: Local proxy video is missing and cannot be generated for an asset transferred from a remote site to the local site. This occurs if the asset is not of type "Clip", such as a subclip or a list.

DE6416 Description: Event Viewer displays errors and GV STRATUS Rule transfers can fail when concurrently running rules require more transfer channels than the available K2 system channels.
Workaround: Before exceeding the transfer workflow for which Grass Valley designed your system, consult with Grass Valley to increase resources as necessary.
DE6576

ncb00077042

Description: The paste operation is sometimes not available when attempting to copy/paste assets between storage locations.
Workaround: Use the Copy To feature instead.
DE6605

ncb00077068

Description: When the Conform Engine renders a complex MPEG2 asset, the resulting simple clip is in a higher video format (bitrate) than that specified in GV STRATUS Control Panel Format settings.
Workaround: This is as designed. The bitrate is increased to the minimum required to avoid encoding issues.
DE6761

ncb00077095

Description: When conforming a list to a LongGOP format, the timecode at the end may be up to 7+ frames off. This can cause a checkerboard pattern in the EDIUS XS player.
Workaround: Regenerate the proxy to avoid the checkerboard pattern showing in EDIUS XS, and to correct the timecode.
DE7488 Description: Upgrade to .NET 4.5 fails. This occurs if the Embedded Security one-time initial deployment process is not done and "Internet Explorer 11 for Windows Server 2008 R2 for x64-based Systems" is installed.
Workaround: Do the Embedded Security one-time initial deployment process before installing software. If not done and software installations fail, during system restart press F8 and use Advanced Boot Options called Last Known Good Configuration (advanced).
DE8499 Description: GV STRATUS application and GV STRATUS Control Panel application shortcuts are not correct. They are either not removed when software is uninstalled or duplicated when software is installed. This occurs when software installation methods are mixed and the software is first installed manually, then upgraded using SiteConfig.
Workaround: As instructed in software install/upgrade topics, use SiteConfig only for full GV STRATUS software deployment and use manual software installation only for GV STRATUS Lite. Do not mix installation methods. If this problem occurs, first uninstall completely with the same method used to install, then install with the desired method.
