Upgrade Render Engine and EDIUS software

If installing to an EDIUS Elite client PC on which you have previously installed EDIUS manually (not with SiteConfig), EDIUS Elite and supporting software must first be uninstalled manually, before attempting to install with SiteConfig.
GV STRATUS application software must be installed and run first before installing EDIUS application or EDIUS XRE software.

Note: Expect long deployment times when installing Render Engine and EDIUS software. EDIUS software and Render Engine software can take several minutes to install. Allow the installation to complete. Do not attempt to stop the installation.

This task applies to GV STRATUS/EDIUS client PCs and Render Engine Server. Use SiteConfig for software deployment.

Install software as follows:

In one SiteConfig deployment session, install GV STRATUS software, and other software, as appropriate for the roles assigned to the device.
Restart the device to which you installed the software.
If this is the first time you are installing EDIUS software on EDIUS Elite and EDIUS XS client PCs, run the GV STRATUS application on the client PCs.
If this is the first time you are installing Render Engine software, run the GV STRATUS application on the Render Engine servers.
In one SiteConfig deployment session, install EDIUS and Render Engine software.
Restart the device to which you installed the software.
