Xcode Control engine settings

These settings are optional on GV STRATUS systems.

To locate these settings, click Core | Engines | Xcode Control | Modify

Setting or button	Description
Working Directory	The directory in which the Xcode Engine temporarily places files while exporting an asset. The directory must have enough capacity for your largest concurrent exports. The directory must allow transcode rule access. Refer to related topics for more information about transcode rule access.
Harmonic IP Address	The host name or IP address of the server that hosts or controls the application that transcodes the asset.
Harmonic Protocol	Selection for the protocol controlling the application, such as the Harmonic ProMedia™ Carbon (formerly Carbon Coder™) or Harmonic WFS.
Harmonic Maximum Concurrent Transcodes	Limits the number of simultaneous transcodes performed. Use to balance resource load on the transcode application host.
Vantage IP Address	The host name or IP address of the server that hosts the Telestream Vantage™ application that transcodes the asset.
Vantage Maximum Concurrent Transcodes	Limits the number of simultaneous transcodes performed. Use to balance resource load on the transcode application host.
Elemental IP Address	The host name or IP address of the server that hosts the Elemental^® application that transcodes the asset.
Elemental Maximum Concurrent Transcodes	Limits the number of simultaneous transcodes performed. Use to balance resource load on the transcode application host.
MEWS IP Address	The host name or IP address of the server that hosts the MEWS services that do the transcoding.
MEWS Maximum Concurrent Transcodes	Limits the number of simultaneous transcodes performed. Use to balance resource load on the transcode application host.
Save	Restarts the Xcode Control engine and applies changes.
Cancel	Reverts to previously saved setting.
