Upgrade GV STRATUS Site ID for a single local site

This task applies to the following:
  • The GV STRATUS Core server
Before doing this task, do the following:
  • Consolidate all GV STRATUS databases on a single GV STRATUS server or GV STRATUS Core server.
  • Disable any currently active rules on the GV STRATUS Control Panel.
  • Make sure there are no currently processing or running workflows on the GV STRATUS system.
  • Upgrade software on the GV STRATUS Core server.
  • Make sure the GV STRATUS Core server is connected to other operational GV STRATUS Core servers such as for Render Engines and Workflow engines.
  1. Log on to the GV STRATUS Core server as an Administrator.
  2. Locate the following file:

    C:\Program Files\Grass Valley\STRATUS Core Services\SiteIdUpgradeUtility.exe

    This file is copied to the GV STRATUS Core server along with the software upgrade.

  3. Run the SiteIdUpgradeUtility.exe to upgrade the Site ID in your GV STRATUS Core server.
  4. Go to C:\ProgramData\Grass Valley\Log for the corresponding Site ID Upgrade text log file to check for any unsuccessful reports.
    Note: If unsuccessful reports are found, the upgrade must not proceed past this step until each issue is resolved.
  5. Re-enable any rules that were disabled earlier.
  6. Reboot the GV STRATUS Core server.
Note: All favorites must be removed and added back to the GV STRATUS application after the Site ID upgrade to update unique IDs to those favorite links.
