Protecting a segment

If it is not already displayed, display the Protection Status column.

In the Segmentation Panel, right-click and select Columns | Protection Status.
The Protection Status column displays.
Select a segment to be protected and click the Unprotected button.
The segment status toggled from unprotected to protected.

A protected segment cannot be modified, deleted, or moved. However, it can be copied into another Segmentation Panel.

When it is protected, the Edit mode is not allowed and you can only be in the Preview mode.
