Metadata support for social media platforms

GV STRATUS supports the option to export either No metadata with the Video/Audio essence, or allows selecting the default profile Social Media containing the following information for all Social Media Platforms:

Metadata Description
Title Asset Name or Segment Name
Description Asset Description
Tags Asset Keywords (Tags)
Privacy Privacy setting is only supported for YouTube. Configure the setting as follows:
  • Public — for YouTube account
Note: This setting is not supported for Twitter and Facebook.
Closed Caption Language Closed Caption is only supported for YouTube and Facebook. Set the language as follows:
  • en — for YouTube
  • en_US — for Facebook
Note: This setting is not supported for Twitter.
Content Category The specific content category for custom metadata. Set the CustomMD_ContentCategory as follows:
  • 22 — for YouTube
  • OTHER — for Facebook
Note: This setting is not supported for Twitter.

All metadata above (except for Content Category) can be configured to different Stratus Custom Metadata field(s), or another Value can be configured (for Closed Caption and Content Category).

If you want to modify the configuration, it is recommended to edit the provided xlst file and save it under a different name here:

C:\Program Files\Grass Valley\STRATUS Transcode Engine\Profiles\AssetMetadataExport\SocialMedia

Content Category: By default, custom metadata fields must be created manually by an administrator. In this case, the Social Media Engine once installed creates this Custom Metadata field automatically.

If there was nothing entered for an asset, default values are published depending on the individual platform.
