Prepare for GV I/O systemcab installation

Before installing, do the following:

• Procure the software installation files for this release via the appropriate distribution method, such as download, network drive, or external drive.
• Allow the GV I/O Ingest Appliance to boot up for the first time, and name the server when prompted to after the first log in.
• Configure the Control network. Work with the IT personnel at the site to configure Domain, DNS, DHCP, or any other settings required by the site’s LAN.
• Install Discovery Agent 2.1.1.205 or higher, which includes the GV STRATUS I/O Appliance device.
• Install all Important Windows updates.
• For Meltdown & Spectre software patches, install the Windows and .NET KBs manually as those files are provided on the GV FTP site.
