Timeline buttons
These buttons and controls
located on the Timeline let you perform various functions:
Create EDL: Create an EDL in the Timeline. 
Save As: Save the EDL in the Timeline.
Rename EDL: Rename the EDL in the Timeline.
Conform EDL: Conform and Send the EDL in the Timeline to a configured
GV STRATUS location.
Export to FCP XML: Generate the EDL in FCP XML format.
Cut: Cut an event from the EDL in the Timeline.
Copy: Copy an event from the EDL in the Timeline.
Paste Top: Paste a copied event before the currently selected event
in the EDL.
Paste Tail: Paste a copied event after the currently selected event
in the EDL.
Delete: Delete an event from the EDL in the Timeline.
Split:
Splits the item at the current position.
Trim Top: Trims the start of the event at the current position.
Trim Tail: Trims the end of the event at the current position.
Zoom In: Zooms in the view of the Timeline. The slider also can be
used to zoom in the Timeline.
Zoom Out: Zooms out the view of the Timeline. The slider also can be
used to zoom out the Timeline.
