Prepare for K2 Summit hardware upgrade

Before upgrading, do the following:

• Procure the Acronis 8179 W10 image on the USB Recovery Flash Drive(s) of 32 GB or greater via the appropriate distribution method.
• Procure the 64 GB flash or mSATA cards required to upgrade your K2 Summit hardware.
• On K2 Summit Standalone(s), verify that you have the AIC 2208 RAID controller installed. Procure the AIC 2208 RAID controller if you do not have it in your system.
  Note: The LSI controller does not support K2 Summit software version 10 and above.
• Back up shared storage information from registry for each host by doing the following:
  1. Execute the regedit program.
  2. Navigate to this key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Grass Valley Group\MAN\vfs]
  3. Right-click on the "vfs" registry key and select Export from the pop-up menu.
  4. Choose a file name and press Save button.
• Stop all media access on the devices you are upgrading.
• Shut down all applications on the devices you are upgrading.
