Replace the CompactFlash or mSATA Card

Before upgrading to K2 Summit system version 10.1 and above, verify that your flash or mSATA card is 64 GB or greater.

Make sure you already created the recovery image for K2 Summit and save the backup on your USB Recovery Flash Drive.

Do not do this task if you have:
  • A K2 Summit system with CompactFlash or mSATA system drive of 64 GB or greater.
Do this task if you have:
  • A K2 Summit system with CompactFlash or mSATA system drive of 32 GB.
  1. Replace the 32-GB flash or mSATA card with a 64-GB card or greater.
  2. Restore the K2 Summit image using Acronis according to the procedure in Restoring from a generic image.
    Note: A reboot will be required after the first boot in order to see the new card, but no other configurations should be required.
  3. Before upgrading the software, verify that your K2 Summit system is working normally with the old OS/software and new hardware.
