The Timeline

The Timeline panel in the Simple Editor tool allows you to assemble and edit reference to sequences known as the STRATUS EDL (Edit Decision List). You can drag assets into the panel to create or add to an EDL. On the Timeline, those EDL assets are called events.

The toolbar in the panel consists of buttons to edits the series of events in the EDL.

Once you have assembled the EDL, you can preview it in the Sequence Viewer. On the Timeline panel, the progress bar indicates the current play location when that event is being played in the Sequence Viewer. The Timeline panel supports the insertion of clips, sub-clips, and EDLs only.
