Running diagnostics for K2 Summit system
If you suspect a problem with K2 Summit system hardware, you can run diagnostics and check for errors.
- Make sure all media access is stopped on the K2 Summit system. Also make sure that there is nothing preventing a restart, as it is required after you run diagnostics.
- From the Windows desktop, click Start | All Programs | Grass Valley | Diagnostics. The Summit Diagnostics application opens.
-
Click
Start.
The Overall Result indicator displays RUN while diagnostics are
underway.
When diagnostics complete, the Overall Result indicator reports results as follows: - To view a diagnostic log, in the Components list, select a log. The log's contents appear in the Log pane.
- To close the Summit Diagnostics application, allow any currently running diagnostics to complete, then click the window close button (X) in the upper right corner of the application window. A "...should be restarted..." message appears.
- Click OK and then restart the K2 Summit system. You must restart before you can use the K2 Summit system. Running diagnostics puts the real time processor and other services in a non-production state.
