Precautions Handling Boards

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) can damage electronic components. It is important to handle boards very carefully to prevent damage. Take the following measures to protect yourself and the boards from electrostatic discharge.

Use a grounded wrist strap designed to prevent Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
Make sure the K2 Central TX server is well grounded.
Touch a grounded metal object before removing any board from its antistatic bag.
Handle a board by its edges only. Do not touch its components, pins or contacts.
Do not bend boards. Protect them from scratches, scrapes, hits or drops.
Put boards back into their antistatic bags when not in use.
