Configuring a Summit channel to transmit a SMPTE 2022-6 media stream

By default, the Channel's SDI output connectors are always active when playing out video clips. For more information about playing video clips see the Playing and editing clips topic.

  1. From the Video Output section of the Configuration Manager notice that each Channel has two SDI output connectors, SDI OUT 1 and SDI OUT 2. For the Player/Recorder mode of operation, SDI OUT 1 displays Clean video while SDI OUT 2 displays Super video, with audio bars, timecode, and other information superimposed on the video. The two 10GigE Output selections replicate the behavior of the two SDI output connectors, including for E-to-E mode.
  2. Each 10GigE Output can be enabled/disabled independently.The 10GigE Video Output Type is supported with the Player/Recorder and 3D/Video + Key Player modes of operation. The 4K Player mode of operation is supported only via the SDI Video Input Type for the 9.5 release.
  3. The IP address entered for each output can be for a unicast or multicast destination address.
  4. When playing video clips for testing purposes, it can be useful to loop playback of the clip. For more information, refer to the Selecting loop play topic. In the event that suitable video clips are not available for playing, an internal generated colorbar and tone can be enabled. for the Channel via the Configuration Manager for diagnostic purposes.
