Configuring a Summit channel to receive a SMPTE 2022-6 media stream

By default, the Channel is configured to receive/record video via the Channel's SDI IN 1 connector. General information about recording video clips can be found in the Recording Clips section.

In the Video Input section, the Input type can be changed to 10GigE. The 10GigE Video Input Type is supported with the Player/Recorder, 3D/Video + Key Recorder, and Multi-Cam Recorder modes of operation. Super Slo-Mo Recorder and 4K Recorder modes of operation are supported only via the SDI Video Input Type for the K2 Summit 9.5 release. With 3D/Video + Key Recorder and Multi-Cam Recorder modes of operation, additional Receiver IP Address fields will appear in the Video Input section of the Configuration Manager in order to support the additional input streams used by these modes of operation.
  1. Select the Channel tab. The C1 screen displays.

  2. Select the 10GigE input type to view the IP address configured for this IP receiver instance.

  3. The automatically configured IP address for the IP receiver instance can be changed by selecting "Manual." This changes the IP address field to an editable state.
  4. From AppCenter, select Control | E-to-E enables the “E-to-E (LoopThru) mode” for the Channel, allowing the received video to be display via AppCenter's monitoring window for the Channel. Note that if E-to-E mode is enabled and 10GigE output is enabled in the Video Output section of the Configuration Manager, the up to two SMPTE 2022-6 media streams will be output via the Channel's 10GigE port, replicating the behavior of the Channel's SDI OUT 1 and SDI OUT 2 connectors when the Channel's E-to-E mode is enabled.
