K2 Storage Utility

The K2 Storage Utility is to be used for viewing diagnostic information and for maintenance. Maintenance tasks include: checking and updating disk and controller firmware, checking LUN status, triggering drive rebuilds and checking the media file system.

  1. From the Windows desktop, double-click on the K2 Storage Utility Config icon.

    The Storage Utility Client window displays.

  2. Enter the name or IP address of the system for which you intend to use the Storage Utility.
  3. Click OK. The Storage Utility logon dialog window displays.

  4. Logon to Storage Utility. Make sure you log in with appropriate privileges. Administrator-level permission is necessary for most Storage Utility operations. For the User name, you might need to enter the machine name as the domain to successfully log in. The Storage Utility for K2 Central window opens.
