Replacing the 2 Channel 1GB Ethernet Board

CAUTION: This system contains board-level components that must be protected from static discharge and physical shock. Wear a wrist strap grounded to the system chassis when handling system components.

  1. Shutdown the K2 Central-Tx Server. Disconnect all AC power cords.
  2. Remove the top cover.
  3. 2 Channel 1GB Ethernet boards are located in PCIe slots 4, 5 and 6. Slots are numbered counting from right to left when looking from the rear of the chassis. Locate the board to be replaced.

  4. Remove the Ethernet cables from the board to be replaced.
  5. Remove the screw holding the board to the chassis.
  6. Carefully remove the board from the chassis.
  7. Carefully insert the replacement board into the same PCIe slot from where the old board was taken.
  8. Secure the board to the chassis with the screw previously removed.
  9. Replace the Ethernet cables into the back of the 2 Channel 1GB Ethernet board.
  10. Replace the cover.
  11. Reconnect the AC power cords.

The K2 Central-Tx Server is now ready for use.
