Replacing a Power Supply

Power Supplies are hot swappable. Each power supply can be replaced while the system is running if the other supply is still operating. If a power supply fails the other supply allows the system to continue operating without interruption. The Power Fail LED will illuminate and remain on until the failed supply is replaced.

  1. Unplug the power cord from the failed power supply.
  2. Push the release tab on the back of the power supply.
  3. Pull the power supply out using the handle on the module.
  4. Replace the failed power module with the new module.
  5. Push the power supply module into the chassis until it clicks and locks.
  6. Plug in the AC power cord into the module.
