Opening the Chassis

Replacements of boards and components require access to the inside of the K2 Central TX Server chassis. Some components, such as fans, are hot-swappable and can be replaced while the system power is on. Replacement of boards and other components require the power to be off. Follow the directions for the replacement of components and boards. Warning: Do not operate the K2 Central TX Server without the cover in place except for short periods of time for repairs. The chassis cover must be in place for proper airflow and to prevent overheating.

1. Remove the optional screw from the side of the chassis cover if it is there. Press both release tabs on the cover to unlock the cover.
2. Slide the cover toward the rear of the chassis.
3. Lift the cover off the chassis.
