Replacing the 2 Channel 1GB Ethernet Board
CAUTION: This system contains board-level components that must be protected from static discharge and physical shock. Wear a wrist strap grounded to the system chassis when handling system components.
- Shutdown the K2 Central-Tx Server. Disconnect all AC power cords.
- Remove the top cover.
- 2 Channel 1GB Ethernet boards are located in PCIe slots 4, 5 and 6. Slots are numbered counting from right to left when looking from the rear of the chassis. Locate the board to be replaced.
- Remove the Ethernet cables from the board to be replaced.
- Remove the screw holding the board to the chassis.
- Carefully remove the board from the chassis.
- Carefully insert the replacement board into the same PCIe slot from where the old board was taken.
- Secure the board to the chassis with the screw previously removed.
- Replace the Ethernet cables into the back of the 2 Channel 1GB Ethernet board.
- Replace the cover.
- Reconnect the AC power cords.
