Create a new project when starting up EDIUS.
To create a new project, you can either select a project preset or project template, or open an existing project as a template.
When EDIUS has started up, select a project preset or project template to create a new project.
To use a project template, the project template to be used must be prepared in the specified folder in advance.
1) Click [New Project] in the [Start Project] dialog box.
The [Project Settings] (Simple Settings) dialog box appears.
The [Create Project Presets] wizard will start up.
2) Enter a project name in [Project name] of [Project file].
3) Select [Use Preset/Template].
4) Select a project preset or project template.
The project templates displayed in [Project template] of [Use Preset/Template] are the files stored in the save destination specified by [Application] in [System Settings] → [Template File Folder] in [Project Preset].
5) Click [OK].
Click [Cancel] to return to the [Start Project] dialog box.
When EDIUS has started up, select an existing project as a template to create a new project.
In the same way as using a project template, all the information included in the specified project can be reused.
1) Click [New Project] in the [Start Project] dialog box.
The [Project Settings] (Simple Settings) dialog box appears.
At initial start-up, the [Create Project Presets] wizard will start up.
2) Enter a project name in [Project name] of [Project file].
3) Select [Use existing project as template].
4) Click [...], specify a project file, and click [OK].
5) Click [OK].

[Customize] |
This can be used only when a project preset is selected in [Use Preset/Template]. Check this item to change the detailed project preset settings (rendering format, and the number of tracks and so on) and create a new project file. The settings of the existing project preset will not be changed.
