When the group/link mode is switched, all groups in a sequence are temporarily ungrouped, and the video part and audio part of clips can be handled separately.
Handle multiple clips as a single group. You can group the clips over different tracks.
1) On the timeline, select the multiple clips to be grouped.
2) Right-click a clip, and click [Link/Group] → [Set Group].

You can restore grouped clips to their original separate clips.
1) Right-click a clip in the group, and click [Link/Group] → [Ungroup].
