Preference Options

Format:Production Packs must have the same format as the video standard set up for the project in the GV Director server.

The first-field only option can be used to avoid combing effects. Keep in mind that for interlaced content, half of the fields’ lines are then missing.

For animations this can result in combing artifacts and cause jagged edges.

Weave: is the default. This is when consecutive fields are added together and all lines are shown.

Deinterlacing Method: applies to preview in Composer and does not affect playout.

Texture Cache Size: a higher cache size improves performance, but note that not all graphic cards have sufficient RAM.

Players/Big Buffer Pool Size: increase size if you have a project with a high number of HD players and playback is starting to fail.

Multi-sampling anti-aliasing: used to improve the quality, particularly on edges. The higher the samples setting the more it will impact the performance of the application.
