Composer for Director Basics

Composer for Director is a software application that will run on either a Mac or Windows 64-bit operating system. The purpose of Composer is to create elements for transitions and effects for GV Director. You can import elements such graphics, animations, clips that are created for your specific show look and feel and then create timeline events to give you the Effects and Transitions you want for your on-air look.

This section allows you to:

  • Understand how transitions and effects are created in Composer for GV Director

  • Create Transitions and Effects in Composer

  • Import an existing Production Pack into Composer and make modifications.
