Working with Existing Production Packs

Existing Production Packs can be saved to a USB storage device from the GV Director Touchpad menu, or transported via the network. Since GV Director ships with several pre-installed Production Packs, you might find it easier to modify an existing Production Pack instead of creating one from scratch.

Import a Production Pack to Composer Insert a USB flash drive into one of the USB 2 ports on the back of the Control Surface. Access the System Set-up menu with a top-to-bottom finger swipe on the Control Surface Touchpad Select the File Transfer menu icon.
Choose Send Production Pack to USB. Select the desired Production Pack to transfer to USB drive.
Open Composer Select Import Project from the Composer Welcome window
Navigate to the Composer project file location. Be sure you select the Production Pack file, indicated by the .ppk extension.

REMEMBER: A file with a .cpk extension is for use with GV Edge and will not work with Composer for Director.

The image below shows a picture in picture effect on the Stage. In the Project Window, all the transitions and templates loaded from previously created projects appear.
