EDIUS Render Package Service setup

  • The EDIUS Render Package Service is not included in the GV STRATUS setup. Contact Grass Valley service personnel to get the separate toolset.
  • It must be run on the GV STRATUS Render Engine server or GV STRATUS Core server, to activate the watch folder for the render package to be processed after receiving it from the field site.
  1. Procure the EDIUS Render Package Service installation files.
  2. Copy the EDIUSRenderPackageService folder to the location where the watch folder is accessible.
  3. In the EDIUSRenderPackageService folder, find the EdiusRenderPackage.exe.config file, and edit the two settings for watch folder location and GV STRATUS Core Server.

  4. Save and close the EdiusRenderPackage.exe.config file.
  5. Launch the Command Prompt as an Administrator.
  6. Execute installservice.cmd

    The Set Service Login box appears.

  7. Enter domain username, password, and confirm password.
    Important: Domain is required for the Username.
    Note: User with Administrative privileges is required.
  8. Click OK.
You can now send an EDIUS sequence as a zip file from field to home site via the STRATUS Send for RenderPackage option.
