GV I/O settings

These settings are optional on GV STRATUS systems, and only applicable to the GV I/O Live Ingest and Playout Server.

To locate these settings, click General | Channels | GV I/O

On the GV I/O tab, each row represents a channel of the GV I/O Live Ingest and Playout Server. These channels can either be used to ingest or playback clips in the GV STRATUS system.

Setting or button	Description
Channel Name	The name of the GV I/O channel.
Channel Type	The channel type that can be configured is either Record or Playout on the GV I/O Live Ingest and Playout Server.
Format	The format of assets supported as configured in Format settings of GV STRATUS Control Panel as follows: Record Channel Type — This setting determines the video format expected at the GV I/O channel’s input. The setting also determines the video codec used to compress the video while recording. Playout Channel Type — This setting determines the video format at the GV I/O output.
Input Signal	The input signal connected to the record channel as configured in the GV I/O Live Ingest and Playout Server. The input signal can only be changed at the GV I/O Live Ingest and Playout Server.
Signal Type	The I/O type selected for the channel. Available I/O types depend on hardware and licensing configuration of the GV I/O unit. Options include: Record and Playout — SDI, SMPTE 2110 Record only — SMPTE 2022-6, Web Stream
Label	Label of the GV I/O channel.
Refresh	Reloads the current configuration of all GV I/O channels.
