Adding a GV STRATUS
client PC to the system description
The system description must
contain a group.
In the
Network
Configuration | Devices
tree view, right-click a group and select
Add
Device.
The Add Device dialog box
opens.
Configure settings for
the device you are adding as follows:
Family – Select GV STRATUS.
Type –
Select GV STRATUS
Client.
Model – Select one of
the following:
If the PC is connected to the
corporate LAN or to the control network only, select GV STRATUS
PC.
If the PC is connected to the
control network and to the K2 media (iSCSI) network for access
to high-resolution assets, select GV STRATUS PC - SAN
Client.
Name – This is the device name, as
displayed in the SiteConfig device tree view and device list view. This name
can be different than the host name (network name). You can accept the
default name or enter a name of your choice. Devices in the tree view are
sorted alphabetically.
Amount – You can add multiple
devices, as currently defined by your settings in the Add Device dialog box.
An enumerator is added to the name to create a unique name for each device
added.
Platform –
Select
x86 for 32-bit operating system or
x64 for 64-bit operating system.
Control network
– Select
Corporate LAN or
Control, as appropriate for the PC's network
connection.
Starting Address – Select
from the list of available addresses on the selected control network. If
adding multiple devices, this is the starting address, with addresses
assigned sequentially to each device added.
Click
OK to save settings
and close.
Repeat these steps for
each of your devices.
If the PC is on the control network, verify that unmanaged control
network interfaces are configured correctly and modify if necessary.
